I found this product performed better than expected and I expected it to be good. I was pleased that the outside sensor used alkaline batteries since they are cheap and easy to find. Other manufactures say their units will not work below 20F with alkaline batteries and so far this winter the temperature has been down to-24F and indicated perfectly. When I got it I set it up inside and both the indoor and outside temperature readings were the same. On some of the reviews I read for other manufactures several people complained that there units did not read the same. I was not so sure that the weather forcaster would do very well but so far it has been right most of the time. I only have one sensor and the unit is capable of monitoring three which at first I did not see why I would need that but now I am thinking of buying another sensor for my garage. We hadn't considered wireless until reading some of the reviews on them, and for the price this weather station appeared to give tremendous value.We have only had it for a week or so, but so far it is doing exactly what it should do. Outdoor temps are reading nicely from 30 feet away through a brick wall, and the accuracy both indoors and out is right on the money. The forecaster has been very good as well, and the icons are large enough that you don't have to get right next to it to see what the weather situation is - or is going to be. It will probably save you some time to carefully read the directions before you start pushing buttons. I know, don't ask how. Only critique, and it's more a preference since it wasn't indicated in the product specifications, would be the desire for a self-standing capability for the receiver... Read more |
